Extensive device status checking by using a primary- and a fallback protocol

Status monitoring determines with a fixed time interval whether a device is still “up and running”. With Quantelium you can specify a primary and a secondary protocol. If a status request with the primary protocol fails, a request with the secondary protocol is sent as a “second opinion”. This approach reduces false positives.

When using protocols such as SSH, telnet or RDP, it is not necessary to provide a username / password. Only an attempt is made to receive a response. Note that this can be seen as a hacking attempt by certain equipment!
